Frequently asked questions
What do I receive after I have completed the required CFC Courses?
After completion of the 20 required CFC modules, you will take a final assessment. Once the final assessment is completed with a passing score of 75% or greater, you will be able to download and save or print your CFC certificate. An official CFC Certificate will also be mailed to you, along with a CommLink CFC Certified Wing Pin.
Also, after you have completed your CFC certification, your profile will display a CFC Badge.
How do I obtain Certified Flight Coordinator (CFC) Certification?
The CFC Certification requirement includes 20 initial mandatory modules and a final assessment which must be passed at 75%. After certification is obtained, you will immediately receive a certificate that you can download and print. You will also receive an official CFC Certificate alone with a CommLink CFC Wings pin in the mail, these will be sent to the address listed for your organizations Communications Center. After Certification is obtained, you must complete 3 CFC continuing education (CE) requirements per year. When CE’s are available for completion, you will receive an email notification.
What if I have a previously obtained CFC Certification that is current from another organization?
If you had a CFC prior to joining CommLink, please email your current CFC certificate to contact@commlinknetwork.com and we will ensure that your profile indicates that you are CFC certified. This can be done by you or your Supervisor.
Moving forward, you will be required to complete a minimum of 3 modules per year in order to satisfy your continuing education (CE) requirements.
Although it is not required to complete more than the minimum 3 required CE modules per year to stay current. If you are previous CFC Certified, all of the modules are open to you at any time and each of them are great refreshers and go into detail on each subject and are tailored to the role of the Communications Specialists. In addition, your organization may utilize CommLink as a an integrated training schedule and require that you take assigned courses periodically.
If you CFC has lasted you will need to take the 20 initial CFC modules and the assessment.
Is CommLink learning content and CFC certification in line with accreditation?
Yes! All content contains mandatory course subjects required by Critical Care Air and Ground Accrediting organizations.
Do Communications Specialists need to re-certify every year?
Yes, CommLink continuing education (CE) modules are being added to our library 3 times per year. When CE modules are added, users will be notified with an email and will have till the end of the calendar year to complete them unless your organization has set a completion required date of their own.
As users remain current on their CE modules, their certification will stay current as well.
How often are membership dues payable?
Your organization will be billed once a year for full membership benefits. Cost is dependent on the number of users you would like to register (see below). Membership includes all initial certification, continuing education and forum membership at no extra cost to your organization. If you would like to upgrade the amount of users, this can be done in the Supervisor Portal next to the displayed number of users.
1-10 Users: $2000 per year – 1st year introductory price $1800
11-20 Users: $3000 per year – 1st year introductory price $2700
21-30 Users: $4000 per year – 1st year introductory price $3600
31-40 Users: $5000 per year – 1st year introductory price $4500
41-50 Users: $6000 per year – 1st year introductory price $5400
51-60 Users: $7000 per year – 1st year introductory price $6300
61-70 Users: $8000 per year – 1st year introductory price $7200
71-80 Users: $9000 per year – 1st year introductory price $8100
